Talk Description :
Immersive technologies and access to the Metaverse remain scarce around East Africa, while simultaneously, awareness in The West of East African music has recently begun to grow.
While Nigeria & South Africa presently monopolize the African music industry internationally, East African countries are quickly on the rise.
In order to level the playing field for international success for East African artists, we emphasize the importance of incorporating the Metaverse into the music business strategies of the artists, and how it can help the artists to cross borders with their music, and expand their international fan base.
We will present a demonstration of musicians in Uganda in a 360 immersive video experience so you can connect with the artists eye to eye, while letting you know how you can support the 360 music initiative in Uganda, as well as improving immersive technology access on ground.
