Humphrey Omukaga Ekanyait: Bio
Humphrey Omukaga
Chairman
From the Chairperson
Kenya Civic Youth Alliance (KCYA) is built on the spirit of ubuntu — I am because we are. Our work is grounded in community, solidarity, and the belief that when young people rise together, our nation rises with them.
At the grassroots, KCYA walks side by side with young people in villages, campuses, estates, and informal settlements, nurturing civic awareness and collective responsibility. We do not speak for the youth — we create space for them to speak for themselves, to organize, and to participate meaningfully in shaping decisions that affect their lives.
Through civic education, dialogue, and community action, we are cultivating a culture of shared leadership and active citizenship. KCYA is a movement of young people supporting one another, holding institutions accountable, and building a just, inclusive, and democratic Kenya from the ground up.
As Chairperson, I am proud to lead a youth-driven alliance that believes in unity, dignity, and people-centered change. Our strength lies in togetherness, and our future lies in the hands of an informed and united youth.
