Bio:
Marcus has nearly three decades of management experience working with the world’s leading global organizations (for-profit & non-profit), heads of state governments, and prominent startups focused on innovation, specifically related to new business models and digital transformation (e.g., emerging technologies, including AI, robotics, 3D printing, biotech, nanotech, blockchain, virtual/augmented reality).
Marcus’ career experience as an executive leading digital transformation and innovation includes as an executive at Bain & Co, as the CEO of the XPRIZE Foundation, and as a Partner at Deloitte Consulting, and at Ernst & Young LLP. Currently, Marcus leads his own management consulting firm, and is the founder/Executive Director of a 501c3 non-profit – www.ExponentialDestiny.com – focused on entrepreneurial training for youths from underserved communities to up/re-skill into new-economy professions, with a specific focus on Virtual reality and the Metaverse.
Marcus is currently a board member of Stanford University School of Engineering’s “Disruptive Technology & Digital Cities” Program, and a Board member of the non-profit organization, the Virtual World Society.
He also serves on the board and/or is an advisor to several global non-profits focused on education for low resourced and underserved communities, including Recode/Center for Digital Inclusion (Brazil) and The National Center for Families Learning (NCFL).
Marcus is an official member of the “Expert Network” for the World Economic Forum, where he is leading a supply-chain blockchain pilot and research initiative.

“Metaverse – A Once-in-a-Generation Opportunity to Upskill/Reskill Individuals from Under-Served Communities into the New-Economy: Hear from Marcus and his co-founders – a team of young individuals from South Central Los Angeles – on how they became professional Metaverse designers and creators. They will share how they developed the required skill sets and then leveraged VR and immersive and experiential technologies to deliver over 25 projects since 2019 to organizations in education, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, energy, finance, real-estate, and travel industries, including a use-case with the 6th largest school district in the U.S. to help transform public education.
