Founder of UPWorlds

My name is Sonya Seddarasan, a Human Computer Interaction practitioner for 12 years. I fell in love with virtual reality experience about 2 years on my first encounter with it and being the designer I am , the first thing I noticed was how virtual worlds are the one that shaped the immersive part of virtual reality but lacking direction in terms of creator’s direction and economy plan.

A year ago I started UPWorlds, a peer to peer marketplace for metaverse community builders. UPWorlds has a mission to provide space for creators that build in metaverse, reimagine the use of their creations by implying a philosophy of thoughtful use of those resources and skill for different activities as a future way of living together.

We believe great design can be a shared commodity and the way to do that is together
