Jodi Bondi Norgaard: Bio
Jodi Bondi Norgaard is an entrepreneur, author, consultant, feminist advocate, and an expert in creating change and breaking gender stereotypes. She is the founder of Dream Big Toy Company and the creator of the award-winning Go! Go! Sports Girls line of dolls, books, and apps for girls encouraging healthy and active play over beauty and body image.
Jodi launched her plush sports dolls built in specification to a real girl’s body in 2009. Her inspiration came in 2007 after shopping for a doll with her then 9-year-old daughter and finding a doll with belly-baring clothing, high heels, and make-up, named ‘Lovely Lola.’ Initially, industry leaders dismissed her product because a sports doll was not mainstream. “Girls want fashion dolls,” she heard, over and over. She was not convinced and knew mainstream ideas never create change. By 2015, she had made significant strides, and her product was launched in Walmart stores. In October 2016, the Go! Go! Sports Girls brand was acquired by Jazwares, an established cutting-edge, toy company.
She has been featured on national media including The Today Show, The Real Story with Gretchen Carlson, Forbes, Upworthy, Parents, Shape, Self, Runner’s World, Advertising Age, Good Housekeeping, Chicago Tribune, New York Times, and Huffington Post.
The Go! Go! Sports Girls brand has won many awards including the prestigious Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Best Toy Award, Dr. Toy’s 10 Best Toy Award, and Creative Child’s Product of the Year Award.
In 2016, Jodi was invited by The White House under the Obama administration to participate in conferences on breaking down gender stereotypes in media and toys. In 2021, she was asked by The White House to be part of its groundbreaking Gender Policy Council under the Biden administration and collaborates on policy as it relates to children’s toys, content, and publishing.
As a public speaker and TEDx speaker, Jodi presents to corporations, women’s groups, conferences, universities, and more. Her forthcoming book, More Than A Doll: How Creating a New Brand of Sports Doll Turned into a Fight to End Gender Stereotypes (Jan 21, 2025, Post Hill Press), makes the case that gender stereotypes in childhood are more destructive than our culture perceives and, in fact, stands in the way of gender equality. She helped develop and co-chair the Toy Association Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee, is a DEI consultant specializing in gender equality with The Kaleidoscope Group, and is a contributor to Ms. Magazine.

Background on Me:

Bio
Aziza Taylor seeks to live in and help build a world where the untold narratives of the past and present “everyday” heroines and heroes from marginalized and minoritized communities are amplified. She is also dedicated to creating and contributing to spaces that help cultivate young people as future leaders and connects them with equal access to quality education, employment, professional training and socio-economic justice.

She has also used her work as a filmmaker to advocate against issues like gender based violence through the film, “Give Dreams”. “Give Dreams” was a part of a national campaign for the Mary Kay Foundation and helped raise a significant donation for domestic violence shelters across the U.S.

I would like to talk about how Romanian teenagers see educational progress by referring to the fact that they seldom get validation for their progress from teachers. When they get validation or acknowledgement they think it’s unusual and don’t know how to deal with it. It’s important for teachers, educational counselors or parents to understand that every little counts. I would like the panel to be in Romanian, but it also works if it’s English.

Asmah Perveen: Bio
Hi! I’m Asmah Perveen, the founder of Health Optimum. I help people feel better using natural ways like Bach Flower Remedies, Homeopathy, and healthy food. I first wanted to be a doctor but studied engineering instead. Later, a friend introduced me to homeopathy, and that opened the door to learning about natural healing. I started by helping family and friends for free, and I truly believe that everyone has the right to be healthy — in body and in feelings too.
During the COVID pandemic, I became very sick and was hospitalized. It was a scary time, but with prayers and the help of Bach Flower Remedies to calm my emotions, I recovered quickly. This made me believe even more in the power of natural healing. So, in 2022, I sold my restaurant to focus fully on holistic health. Now, I work with people one-on-one and give talks and workshops to teach others about natural healing. I especially hope to help women, kids, and NGOs learn simple ways to stay healthy and happy.

Kris Locus: Bio
I’m an intentional content creator, curating spaces that reflect what I actually live through and experience. Whether it’s hosting live conversations, organizing community food and clothing drives, or putting together events that bring people together, my work is about real connection.
Ease over friction isn’t just a phrase—it’s a lifestyle shift. It’s about rejecting the “grind hard” mentality and giving ourselves permission to ask: Where can I find more ease? How can I make life softer and more delicate for myself when the world is already so tough, especially for Black folks?
As someone living at the intersection of Blackness, queerness, and nonbinary identity, I know what it means to navigate spaces that weren’t built for us. So I create them. Spaces where we can breathe, exist, and be held. No more forcing, no more suffering just to prove something. Just ease, care, and community🌱🫰🏾

Lawrence Harris: Bio
As a child, I endured abuse, isolation, and negative beliefs that convinced me I was worthless. At 14, I made a life-altering decision to no longer let my circumstances define me. I couldn’t rewrite my past, but I realized I held the pen to my future. This decision sparked a journey of reclaiming my inner strength and breaking free from limiting beliefs.
At 15, I began writing and speaking to help others overcome their own struggles. From that first opportunity to speak at a summer camp, I discovered the power of sharing my story to connect with those who feel unseen and unheard.
Today, I stand as living proof that no matter how lost we feel, there is always a way forward. Your past does not define you, and your worth is not determined by others’ opinions. If I can overcome my darkest moments, so can you. Together, through coaching or speaking engagements, we can take the first step toward healing, hope, and transformation.
