First, GatherVerse is a public forum. Speakers’ statements or written materials may be independently recorded or published by news media organizations or other attendees, beyond the control of GatherVerse.
Second, the purpose of this agreement is to inform you that GatherVerse makes every effort to extend the reach of the ideas, information, and expressions shared during the GatherVerse events to a wider audience through various outlets, including the World Wide Web, SlideShare, and YouTube.
By signing this agreement below, and in consideration for your participation at GatherVerse, you hereby:
(a) Permit GatherVerse.org to record your presentation in full during the event, in both audio and visual formats (the “Recording”).
(b) Grant GatherVerse.org, its affiliates, and licensees a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to reproduce, display, perform, edit, transcribe, distribute, and create derivative works of the Recording, in whole or in part, in any and all languages and media (now known or hereafter developed).
(c) Grant GatherVerse.org, its affiliates, and licensees a non-exclusive license to use your voice, name, likeness, and biographical data to publicize or advertise the Recording. GatherVerse.org will provide attribution in connection with the exhibition of the Recording.
You represent and warrant to GatherVerse.org that your presentation is your original work, or that you have the full right and authority to grant the rights herein in all media throughout the world, and that no one else’s permission is required.
Upon request, GatherVerse.org will provide you with a copy of the Recording.
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
