Dr. Deborah Thomson is the author of The Art of Science Communication and has founded an organization that inspires children and adults around the world to value the interconnection between human health and the health of the environment, plants, and animals (called One Health Lessons).

In addition, she has served as a Science Policy Advisor in the United States Congress and is a veterinarian and award-winning public speaker.
