Director of Training & Education, Public Safety Oracle
Laura is Director of Training & Education for Oracle’s Local Government team, leading strategic design, development & operations for educational programming that supports municipal leadership, law enforcement and emergency response personnel.
She has over 20 years of experience working with at-risk populations as a peer advisor, educator & counselor, specializing in PTSD & complex trauma from childhood exposure to domestic violence, poverty, crime, community-based risks & substance use.
Prior to her current role, Laura held Educational leadership positions at Cerego (a metacognitive training platform) in addition to law enforcement technology providers Axon, WRAP Technologies, and Lumeto.
She frequently leverages immersive multimedia & XR experiences in her training programs. Her work has been recognized by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation & Fast Company and featured on ABC’s Good Morning America, Engineering & Technology Magazine & the Washington Post, among others.
She is a graduate of University of California, Santa Cruz & Harvard’s Graduate School of Education.
She is a certified Crisis Intervention Team Coordinator with CIT International.
